Because I only lost 1lb in two weeks and two days despite sticking to my diet and exercising. Right now I feel like never eating again. Fuck.

Don't get upset, I think that's normal. I only lost one pound last week as well (and I started my diet the same day as you). I think your body plateau's for a bit just after you've lost the initial weight after starting a diet (the first pounds to come off are water). If my experience from previous dieting attempts is of any use, than the weight will continue to come off. Sometimes you get nothing one week and then 3 pounds the next week. Dieting is not an exact science. Don't lose heart.

::hugs::

Re:

I know you're probably right but I really feel like I've lost more than that. My clothes are much looser for one thing. I think I'm panicking a bit as well because I really want to shift most of it by May.

Couple of things to remember: Our weight can fluctuate on its own by anything up to half a stone each cycle. If you're close to your period, you'll be retaining more water & so will weigh more. Secondly, if you're exercising then you're gaining muscle, which weighs more than fat. Weighing yourself, unless you have huge amounts to lose, is not an accurate measure of getting into shape; the fact that your clothes are looser is a far better measure of how bloody well you're doing.:) ::hugs you:: God, I wish my clothes were looser...*sulks*

Re:

You know I think I am retaining water any way. If I press on my leg it leaves a dent. It isn't as bad as it was but it's still really noticable. Thanks for your comments they really helped.

Hugs you back.

Don't get discouraged hon. I weighed myself last Friday after being on my diet (and sticking to it) for almost two weeks and I lost exactly 0lbs! I actually surprised myself how fine I was with it. I *know* I am capable of losing weight, and I know it will work for me this time - I'm determined!! And I know you can do it too!

I know it sounds like a platitude, but try not to think of it as only losing 1lb, think of it as being 1lb closer to your target weight, which is fantastic!

*hugs*

Re:

I'm over my sulk now and your postive comments really helped, thank you. I've been all wrong headed about it. Instead of having expectations I should have aims, that way there's less room for disappointment. And you're right, we can do it!

Hugs you back.
